Metaverso EDM Mozambique

In March 2025, we at Virtual Engenharia were in Maputo, Mozambique, to present EDM's Metaverse. The project was contracted in January 2025 and developed over two months.

These were very productive days, during which we presented the virtual reality training solution to the company's board of directors.

We were very well received by the EDM training center team, who planned the entire schedule of our visit.

Last week we traveled around the country visiting generation and distribution facilities with the goal of conducting field surveys for future projects.

We visited the Chicamba Hydroelectric Power Plant. We had the opportunity to tour the entire facility and analyze the feasibility of creating a customized virtual reality training program for the plant.

We also conducted field research in Nampula. Whenever we are going to execute a virtual reality training project, this step is very important. To digitize a facility, we take photographs using 3D cameras, drones, and conventional cameras. This record, along with the blueprints, is sufficient for us to model the floor plan.

The trip was a success; we delivered the pilot project and are now moving forward with the final project.
